December 9th, 2009 by Lauren E. Colao (0) General

The Big Book of LayoutsHard work and fresh ideas have earned us a spot in The New Big Book of Layouts. The book contains layout elements representing the best—those design firms who excel in what they do.

We are proud to have several of our layouts featured among some of the finest. Our featured work includes: the Colgate Health and Wellness Calendar, the Luke Simon Online Look Book, the NY-NJ Trail Conference Membership Renewal Postcard, and the Enzo Creative Website.

However, you will have to find something else to read on the cold winter nights—this book won’t be released until July 2010. Check in for more details after the new year comes around.

Graphic Design USA Rewards Enzo Creative’s Top Work

Closets Couture Website

Enzo Creative defines a brand by keeping a consistent theme throughout all mediums. This includes more prominent items such as a logo and color palette, but also the fine details, like strategically selected typefaces and photography. This philosophy won us five awards for 2009 in the Graphic Design USA: American Graphic Design Awards Annual, to be released in December.

One of the awards was presented for the Closets Couture website. Their logo, stationary system, and promotional items including postcards and posters are also part of the work that we have completed for them. Closets Couture’s website was carefully designed to bring together each characteristic of the brand in order to cater to client’s needs. Lindsay Altieri, owner of Closets Couture said, “Closets Couture is all about style and getting the right “look”. Enzo Creative did just that. They helped me with the whole package, they developed a logo that “fit” me and my service. The website really helps visitors understand what I can do for them.”

The other awards presented were for the Cenveo Benefits Guide, The NY-NJ Trail Conference Member-Get-A-Member Campaign, the Enzo Creative Happy Hour Open House Event, and the Enzo Creative website. All were examples of how consistency can make the difference in branding. View the Enzo Creative portfolio here.

Enzo Creative team members help lead the second annual People For Trails Hike-a-Thon event to another year of success.

Hike-a-thonLogo-RGBWhen the NY-NJ Trail Conference asked Enzo Creative to help brand the 2nd Annual People For Trails Hike-a-Thon, we said, “Absolutely!” Our goal was to create a visual identity that would attract more participants than the inaugural event plus encourage sponsorships from corporations and businesses that interact with the 10,000 Trail Conference members.

We contributed our services, including posters, interactive event pledge webpage and online communications, which helped secure top sponsors The North Face, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. We could have considered the addition of these three sponsors a success but the event also added Ramsey Outdoor, Tent & Trails, Patagonia, Nike, Ibex Outdoor Clothing, Wigwam, Exofficio, Clif Bar & Company, Samuel Adams, Mammut, Eagle Creek Travel Gear, Kelly’s Party Rental, Palisades Parks Conservancy, Gear To Go Outfitters, Wild Republic, Fairway, Bear Mountain Inn, Michael Malandra Photography, Timbuk2, GSI Outdoor, Bug Band, Vaude, and Ruff Wear!

At the event, creative director, Lou Leonardis was asked for his opinion… “I think everyone’s here for the same reason, which is to raise money for these folks… And it’s important for any fundraising event to make its website appealing and easy to use so people want to participate. We also designed the site to inspire sponsors to come on board who have the resources the Trail Conference needs for continued success.”

At the end of the day, when the pledges were totaled, the People For Trails Hike-a-Thon had raised over $15K for maintenance of trails and trail education in the bi-state area and increased participation by 50% over the previous year.

Enzo Creative helps develop most comprehensive map set ever produced

July 20th, 2009 by Enzo Creative (0) General

Kittatinny Trails

Enzo Creative has contributed to the creation of the NY-NJ Trail Conference’s new digitally produced edition of the Kittatinny Trails map set. They are the most comprehensive trail maps of the Kittatinnies ever produced. “We know that we would not have been able to accomplish this without your outstanding work…” said Jeremy Apgar, Cartographer for the NY-NJ Trail Conference in a recent letter.

The Kittatinny trails cover the topography of state forests, state parks and Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The Appalachian Trail is just one of the highlights of the set and small details down to rapids in the river make the new edition a must-have for any recreational visitor.

Since our relationship began in 1997, we have helped brand the Trail Conference and their impressive line of regional maps. In the past, maps were laboriously produced in an analog fashion that required hundreds or thousands of man-hours to revise and publish. In recent years, Enzo Creative has been able to help streamline the production of the Trail Conference’s top selling product line and develop a dynamic system that possesses a consistent look and feel from one map set to another.

“We were challenged with this branding project that is to be rolled out during 3-4 years and 28 maps.” said Lou Leonardis, Creative Director at Enzo Creative. “We took a product line that was dated and lacked impact and gave it a solid shelf presence that is increasing sales at retail stores.”

You can buy the map sets online, at many Tri-State outdoor retailers or by calling us for a FREE set. 908.219.4703.
